Mkepi Game Lodge provides the perfect environment for an incredible game-viewing experience.  Whether on a game drive or on foot, you are likely to come across a huge variety of animals, both large and small.  Make sure you have a good pair of binoculars and a camera!

Common sightings include buffalo, kudu, sable, roan antelope, red hartebeest, zebra, giraffe, waterbuck, eland, nyala, impala, springbok, warthog, baboons, and monkeys.   See our beautiful exotic game species – golden wildebeest, black impala, and black springbok.

Look out for less common sightings such as duiker, mountain reedbuck, klipspringers, steenbokkies, dassies, and jackals.

If you are very lucky you may even see wild bush pigs, porcupines, aardvarks, caracals, civets, brown hyena, and leopard.

A night drive may reward you with sightings of springhares, rabbits, porcupines, night jars, and owls.

And look out for the small animals such as squirrels, mongoose, tortoises, and bloukopmannetjies.
